Hello again, our friends. Thanks for checking in. Big welcome to the new three that have joined us on our epic adventure west to Moab.
So, big brother Marc got the trail confirmations in. For those not in the know, that means his cheque was cashed and the trails that we (Marc) wanted to wheel were confirmed and we get to wheel on those preferred trails on the days that we wanted. Keep in mind that this is a huge event with over a thousand fellow Jeepers and 4x4 enthusiasts from all over North America converging on one small town in Utah over a very short period of time and everyone wants to run certain trails but not everyone gets to. Getting what you wanted doesn't always happen. Big brother Marc has been planning for a little while now, so he got what he wanted. I think he knows somebody he's not telling anyone else about. Hmmmm. Here's our trail plan:
Monday - Hell's Revenge.
Tuesday - Metal Masher (renegade run with the Canadian 4x4 mag guys - beauty).
Wednesday - Cliffhanger. Yeah, I'm a little nervous, too.
Thursday - Top Of The World. Yikes.
Friday - check for scratches and dents, make sure Marc's JK is still in one piece, hit the vendor show, then head back east to Ontario.
Our current trip plan takes us through Colorado, then on I-70 to Moab. Unfortunately a mountain or two collapsed onto the highway last week and this route may or may not be open. The state had tried to declare a state of emergency but by all accounts have been unsuccesful thus far. What emergency? It's just a mountain on a road, right? Who cares? We'll just go over it. Well we're not allowed to, so we may have to detour through Aspen. So that'll suck. Who wants to go to Aspen? Wait...I do.
Thanks for joining us folks - we really do appreciate it. It's an adventure of a lifetime, and you're part of the trip.
Life is good.
---Editors Note---the old guy in the Red Wings toque from a previous pic post complained that he was referred to as 'the old guy in the Red Wings toque' in a previous pic post. To clarify, his name is Mark Taylor, not 'the old guy in the Red Wings toque'. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
