Hello my friends. Although there are none of you following at this particular time, I know for sure that in the weeks to come, this little blog will be checked daily by you to see how the Thorup boy's are doing on their adventure to Moab. You'll be eager to see photos and hear up-to-the-minute stories of axles breaking and tires going flat and Jeeps rolling over and Marc punching me in the arm because I flipped the switch to turn on the Hella lights instead of the winch and now the battery is fried and we're stuck worse than we were but at least we can see and why is Utah a dry state...and..and...and...
See - it's fun already, and we haven't even left yet.
We depart on Friday the 26th of March on our epic 2800km journey from Southwestern Ontario, through middle America, on our way to the old town of Moab, Utah for Easter Jeep Safari 2010. It's an annual event that has been going on for years that brings the Jeep and 4x4 community together in one of the greatest places on earth for those seeking adventure for off-roading.
Joining us will be several members of big brother Marc's Jeep club and their navigators, like me. We'll convoy to Utah together, stay at the Moab Springs Ranch together, and wheel together. Should be a great trip, and we're happy that you want to join us as we go along.
Thanks for hopping in the back seat on this ride. Apologies in advance for any mud slung in yer face or difficulty breathing back there with the top off. If you don't wanna be a passenger, get in and drive.
